The Healthy Lifestyle Workshop for Primary Science Teachers was conducted by the Health Education officers over a period of 3 days, starting from 8th to 10th February 2010 at the Health Promotion Centre. The participants involved were mostly Year 2 teachers from both government and non-government primary schools. The main objective of the workshop is to enable Brunei teachers to become health promoters in their own right and to be able to confidently and comfortably get across to their pupils the health messages embedded in the curriculum.
The workshop included Health Galleria tour, talks on 'Healthy Diet', 'Dangers of Tobacco' and 'Physical Activity' and group discussions on ways to communicate health messages effectively to pupils in the classroom.
